Meeting began at 7:00 p.m. with a welcome from
Mr. Cox.
January
Review
Congratulations to Alyssa Kimpel
for participating in All-State Band this year!
Congratulations to the fifteen All-County Band
members from Timber Creek. We had the
second highest number of students in All-County.
Congratulations to the
Winter Guard ~ Premier show was last weekend.
They placed second out of seventeen groups! They had a terrific show!
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Hoey; they are
expecting their first child in mid-July!
February/Early
March Review
District Solo & Ensemble MPA at Apopka High
School on Friday, February 12 & Saturday, February 13. All students will perform either on Friday between
4:00 – 9:00 p.m. or on Saturday between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Winter Guard show at University High School on
Saturday, February 13.
Concert Ensemble rehearsals on February 22 &
23 from 2:30 – 5:30 p.m. in anticipation for District MPAs on March 4 & 5. Guest conductor’s concert
at 7:00 p.m. on February 23.
Concert MPAs will be held at Freedom High School. Symphonic Band performs at 12:30 p.m. on
March 4; Symphonic Band takes the stage at 4:45 p.m. on March 5; the Wind
Ensemble performs at 7:55 p.m. (March 5).
More information to come!
The next band parent meeting will be Tuesday,
March 9 (two part meeting…1)general parent meeting and
2) DC parent meeting).

Summer/Fall Calendar (Highlights)
Open houses May 17 & May 24
No June summer camp ~ Tuesday
evenings replace June camp
July 19-22 is tentative at this point until we
find out from the county which week our school will be closed (energy
directive). We won’t know until April or
May.
September 25 ~ Premier Show
October 16 ~ Marching Arts Festival
October 23 ~ FMBC State Regional Contect
November 6 ~ District Marching MPA @ Citrus Bowl
November 20 ~ FMBC State Championships
Fundraisers!!!
Three very important fundraisers going on/coming up:
1.
Off-Campus Concessions ~ Working
at the Amway Arena is a great way to earn money for the general band account
and for your student’s account! The
monies earned will go toward replacing our trailer and maintaining our staff . PLEASE email Rob/Karen Lattin,
our off-campus coordinators, at tchsoffcampus@hotmail.com if you have any
questions.

Our cookie dough sale begins Monday, February
8 and ends February 22.

Upcoming
Golf Tournament at StoneyBrook on April 17, 2010
Fifth
Annual Golf Tournament
Saturday, April 17, 2010 with an 8:30 shotgun
start. We REALLY need EVERYONE’S
assistance to help make this year’s golf tournament a success! We need companies/businesses to donate sponsorships
or give us donations to include in the goody bags. We also obviously need golfers! Please ask everyone you know if they would
like to enjoy a fun day of golf and help us raise much needed funds (to pay for
next year’s show). We have room for 144
players. Please contact Rick Brown for
more information (tcrfundraising.com)!
We also need volunteers!
Outstanding Debt
No balances will be allowed to carry over. Mr. Cox will be contacting those students with
balances. If students owe money at the
end of the fiscal year, they will NOT be invited to participate with the
Regiment. (They may still participate in
the band program, however, they will not be able to be
part of the marching band.)
