The Timber Creek High School Band Booster Organization raises funds for Timber Creek High School’s “Regiment” Marching Band, Color Guard and Winter Guard collectively. We reach out to alumni and friends, parents, and students to encourage their lasting connection and involvement with Timber Creek High School and the Band program.
 
Private gifts are essential for the band to fulfill its ambitious program. Private funds help make the Timber Creek High School Band one of the best in the state of Florida. Tight budgets leave little money for extracurricular activities. The Band Boosters provide funds for basic expenses such as instrument repair and buses to travel to competitions.
 
Students currently pay more than $300 each in direct fees for the privilege of participating in the band and representing our community at competitions throughout the state. This covers less than a third of the actual cost. Currently we are not receiving any additional funds from the school board in order meet our obligations. This requires us to postpone needed instrument repairs and uniform replacement and maintenance for the Regiment and to supplement scholarships to those students whose families have truly become victims of today’s economy.
 
Band members conduct various fund raising events each year. Their tremendous efforts, on top of the many hours of practice are still not enough to cover all our expenses. Private support makes the difference between Timber Creek’s band program being a great program and merely a good one.

*Being a member of the TCHS Regiment and Auxiliary programs creates a unique opportunity for students to be part of a large group of young people who are on a quest to achieve excellence in everything they do.

*It gives students a place to call “home” at a school of over 3200 students. They are not only surrounded by students who are at the top of their class academically, but freshman and sophomores also have the opportunity to interact with juniors and seniors and benefit from their knowledge of our school.

*The Band and Color Guard members are constantly striving to create a performance that will touch our audience emotionally and enable the listener to understand the composer’s intent. The students learn to work as a team. They learn the benefits of hard work, self-discipline, and a commitment to excellence. The commitment to excellence on the performance field extends to academics as well.  A large percentage of the music students are AP students, on the honor roll or dean's list and earn scholarship money for college.

*Being a member of an award winning quality program challenges these students to go beyond their perceived potential. The pride, self-confidence, and focus on team work these students achieve carries over into their college years and beyond.

Since inception, this program has risen to the top tier at the state level. The Timber Creek Regiment’s reputation as one of the top Marching Bands in Florida continually brings swelling pride to alumni, parents and not only Band staff but the entire staff of Timber Creek High School.  Over the last two years The Winter Guard, has risen to the top of their class being a formidable troupe of young adults bringing excitement to the springs premiere events.

The Timber Creek High School Band is comprised of over 160 amazing students. Over 90 percent of band alumni attend post-secondary education and have been awarded a multitude of college and post-secondary scholarship offers. We could not have reached these milestones without the support of our base corporate sponsors, but your help is needed to build on these successes. It’s a most exciting time to be associated with the Timber Creek High School Marching Band and we are most grateful for your support and contribution.
