Light Bulb Fundraiser

Replace your old bulbsEarn money for student accounts and band

Students earn 20% of profit for their band accounts, plus 80% for the band. And a $5 Wendy's card for every 50 bulbs sold.

Timber Creek Bands is participating in a fund raising opportunity to raise money for the band and student accounts.

We have lots of work to do in order to ensure that next years’ marching season is comparable to the ones in the past 7 years. Our incoming students should be able to experience the same great production that our past students have experienced. We need each family to do their part to help us attain that goal. Fundraise, fundraise, fundraise! We have to do this together! Just as the students are a Regiment, we as parents need to be a team behind them.

Goal: $20,000: $16,000 for band; $4,000 student account, 100% participation expected from 180 students.

We are selling energy-saving light bulbs that cost about $5 each. But they use 75% less energy and last over 10 times longer. So every bulb we sell for about $5 should save the buyer about $50 in energy and replacement cost.

We earn $2 for every light bulb we sell. We will take bulbs orders from now through May 28 and collect the money in advance. The bulbs will be available for delivery starting July 7.

OUC recommends that people replace their 5 most-used lights with these energy-saving bulbs. We will offer single and three-packs in the three most common types - 60, 75 and 100 watt equivalent. They all fit in regular light sockets and come with a 9-year warranty.
